See me next Thursday, November 2 at the NY Public Library Science, Industry, and Business branch in midtown Manhattan.

I’m honored to present at such a prestigious and storied institution.

As I’m approaching launching my podcast, Leadership and the Environment, I’ll speak on our sore need for leadership in the environment, as well as how it applies to the greatest challenge most leaders face: leading people without using authority.

Whether your greatest concern is your business, your personal or professional development, or the environment, you will enjoy the event and gain skills you can use that day.

The event is free and open to the public.

Josh Spodek is the bestselling author of Leadership Step by Step: Become the Person Others Follow. Come learn how to navigate your business’ greatest challenges (hint: it’s your relationships with people), and let him show you how to make meaningful connections and become a leader in the environment.

Leadership Step by Step

Making connections is critical to building a career and a life—and a major challenge. Who hasn’t gotten tongue-tied in front of an important person? Or taken a common piece of career advice and tried to network, only to give up after too many meaningless conversations? This program (a highlight of Josh’s leadership course at NYU), will teach you how to create meaningful connections with anyone: from people you’d like to know socially to strangers at networking events to high-value people outside your social circle. This program offers:

  • A method you can use to create meaningful connections, consistently, reliably, and predictably.
  • The chance to practice so you can use it before leaving the room.
  • A fun, interactive environment.
  • A method that works for anyone—shy or gregarious, old or young, student or working professional.
  • A skill you can practice all your life for both professional and personal development.

Josh is an Adjunct Professor at NYU, leadership coach and workshop leader for Columbia Business School, columnist for Inc., and founder of SpodekAcademy.com. He holds five Ivy League degrees, including a PhD in Astrophysics and an MBA, and studied under a Nobel Prize winner. He earned praise as “Best and Brightest” (Esquire’s Genius Issue), “Astrophysicist turned new media whiz” (NBC), and “Rocket Scientist” (ABC News and Forbes) and has been quoted and profiled by ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. He has visited North Korea twice, swam across the Hudson River, and has done burpees every day for six years, 100,000 and counting. And if that weren’t enough, his cooking is to die for!
