Closing event for my solo show at Crossing Art gallery with Leaders in Software and Art

in Art, Creativity

The closing event for my solo exhibition at Crossing Art gallery will be held in conjunction with Leaders in Software and Art (LISA) Thursday, July 14, beginning at 6:15pm. Details and directions are below.

Both organizations are outstanding and I owe gratitude to each. I spoke at Crossing Art for my opening event last month and at LISA in February. Unlike most LISA events, which are members only, this one is open to the public. So at this event you will have not one, but four artists represented, and not only wine, but hors d’oeuvres.

LISA events are incredible. They mix art, software, related media and technology, and — most importantly — the people behind them. The people who speak at and attend these events are people who push the frontier of new media and expression with them.

Crossing Art gallery is, of course, a wonderful space with the audacity and vision to show my work.

From Isabel Draves, creator of LISA:

The Next LISA Event is at 6:15 on Thursday, July 14th

The next Leaders in Software and Art will be held at 6:15pm on Thursday, 7/14 at Crossing Art in Queens. We are pleased to be holding this event on the occasion of a closing party for Josh Spodek’s solo show there. Featured artists for this month are Josh Spodek, Alexander Chen, Amelia Marzac, and Kyle McDonald.

6:15 – 7:00 — Gallery viewing, drinks, finger food and mingling
7:00 SHARP – 8:00 — Presentations and discussion
8:00 – 9:00 — Continue the conversation, enjoy the closing party at the gallery

PLEASE RSVP: isabel at draves dot org – please invite your friends to this LISA!

Crossing Art has tons of space for us. So please post to Facebook, tweet, blog, and bring your friends with you to LISA this time. Thanks for helping get the word out!

Crossing Art is at 136-17 39th Avenue (at Main Street), 11354. Take the 7 or 7x train (express is faster) to Main Street Flushing, walk 1block north on Main to 39th. Turn Right on 39th Ave & enter Queens Crossing (Large Glass Façade). Take the stairs or elevator to the Ground Floor. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Since the Great Firewall of China is blocking me from posting on the usual social networking sites, please re-post this event.
