Join me for a workshop on entrepreneurial thinking and behavior over a delicious meal at a FED talk

I’m honored and flattered to have been invited to speak at a friend’s gathering next Sunday, September 20th at her casual soirée in Chelsea, Manhattan, called a FED talk, like a TED talk but with home-made food. I’ll speak and lead exercises in entrepreneurial thinking and behavior, which I consider broader than just entrepreneurship. You can think and act entrepreneurially in a big company, or without funding or the intent of starting a company.

I went to the last FED talk, which was on negotiation and both learned and ate a lot. I hope to see you there!

Here’s the text from the announcement:

Who’s ready for more FED??

Following on the success of the first event, FED’s next dinner party will take place on Sunday, September 20th, from 6:30-9:30pm. The topic? Entrepreneurship!

Our FED talker will be the brilliant — no, seriously, he was named “Best and Brightest” by Esquire Magazine’s Genius Issue – Joshua Spodek, professor of entrepreneurship and leadership and an executive coach.

Joshua Spodek

He will lead us in unpacking and experimenting with the mindset of an entrepreneur, including through some entrepreneurial exercises which will get us moving and networking around the room.

If you don’t think you’re the go-it-alone entrepreneur type… fear not! Josh will work to convince us all that anyone can view the world in an entrepreneurial way: no matter whether from within an established organization, or even just perceiving and working to solve problems in the flow of day-to-day life.

To round out the picture, I’m really excited that several entrepreneurs-in-residence will also share their experiences: Dan Gelernter, CEO of Dittach, which gives you a browsable, searchable stream of email attachments; and Kelsey Recht, CEO of VenueBook, which is revolutionizing the way people think about event booking.
