See me interviewed by Don Lemon in Washington Square Park on the election
I was walking through Washington Square Park the other day and an influencer/reporter stopped me to interview me about the election. It turns out he was Don Lemon, who has won awards.
According to Wikipedia, he is “an American television journalist best known for being a host on CNN from 2014 until 2023. He anchored weekend news programs on local television stations in Alabama and Pennsylvania during his early days as a journalist. Lemon worked as a news correspondent for NBC on its programming, such as Today and NBC Nightly News. Lemon is also a recipient of an Edward R. Murrow Award in 2002 for his coverage of the capture of the Washington, D.C. snipers. He also received three regional Emmy Awards for his special report on real estate in Chicago and a business feature on Craigslist.”
He left out some of the best parts. He started by asking how I felt. I said “Great! Because the New York Times just printed a two-page story on me on the front page of the Metro section and because my book just came out!” You can see me holding them in the video below.
I didn’t know if he would air it until a friend emailed me: “Loved your interview with don lemon.” I couldn’t figure out how to embed TikTok, so put the video below.
Here’s the original page. Last I checked, it had 21,400 likes and 4,747 comments. I enjoyed the comments so copied a bunch below the video.
Select comments:
- Don Lemon not understanding a level headed individual
- He’s trying to get him say what he wants to hear
- Its an interesting point he makes, if the other side win, there’s millions of people who wouldn’t have empathy for the people who would be upset with that result
- in this video, there’s one guy with Empathy and common sense, and there is Don Lemon.
- This guy has answered with class and clarity
- It’s almost like he has empathy for both sides and doesn’t pander to emotional tricks …
- 😂😂😂this guy lives in reality.
- He’s speaking the truth. This is how it works. Empathy goes both ways.
- This guy nailed it
- Too much common sense for some people to get it.
- Don doing his best to trigger some fear.
- Yep – everyday working the streets trying to trigger ppl. Also weird calling women emotional
- Only decent interview he has ever had. Glad this guy put don in his place.
- “Full of Empathy” he angrily says
- Angrily? I guess we watched different videos……
- This is not anger.
- He didnt ‘angrily’ say anything simply calm and level headed
- angry? what 🤣😂
- Can you post the link of part 2 so I can see the anger part?
- This is the most normal guy and sane take I’ve ever seen. Let’s look at the comments shall we?
- it’s not he’s got no empathy. he just understands a fair election and has moved on.
- Like a rational person. I know the left can’t comprehend this concept.
- Finally a thinker. There needs to be a balance. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. That’s life.
- He’s talking about it as if it was a sports team that lost. He must own a house, must have a good job and can afford to pay for all his needs, and wants. If it doesn’t affect them, then it doesn’t matter. Sad!
- He makes the best point that no matter the result there would be lots of people upset…men and women!
- Zero empathy
- It’s interesting that just by saying, “if the other side won, there’d be people upset” is somehow controversial.
- The apathy is loud with this one
- He’s like a robot with zero emotion 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
- omg. you finally found out what a rational human looks like.
- Don Lemon, right?!
