Freezing on the roof, gathering energy from the sun

Yesterday hit close to freezing. It was cold and windy, but close to the solstice, I get what sunlight I can. For the first time I set up both panels charging both batteries and got close to filling each.

I’m not good at selfies anytime. When I had to take my gloves off for the touchscreen to work and the wind, sorry, this is the best I could do:

How about some pictures of the panels and city in the background and my computer charging? You can’t tell the temperature from the pictures below (maybe you can from my wearing two winter coats, a scarf, and hat), but the cold is why I’m posting. It’s challenging to climb the stairs and go outside, so posting helps keep me accountable.

Remember: solar isn’t “clean,” “green,” or “renewable.” I consider it suboxone: not the hard stuff, which it can help wean you from, but still serious.
