As always with posts showing litter and garbage, I’m posting about the beauty of nature and our ability to restore a culture that doesn’t reward behaviors that require that nature needs protection, conservation, or restoration. Even if I post about garbage, pollution, and depletion that hurt people (and other life), my point is about the underlying beauty in nature and the liberty, freedom, equality, democracy, national security, and unity we are capable of.
As for today’s post, my building has a tiny garden in front:

Notice how the planter on the right is missing green growth. It’s hardly rare to find garbage like this, illustrating what is killing the plants.

No one’s life would be any worse if no one ever bought or sold these little alcohol bottles, more packaging than product.
That there is a trash can a few steps away distracts from the more important points. I’ll focus on several mindsets:
- The people who decide to create this product line, knowing how much garbage it will create, knowing it will increase the impoverishment of poor people
- The store who sells it
- The marketers who promote it
- The person who dropped in garbage on someone’s garden
