Today I saw the first Christmas decorations of the season going up. They used to wait until closer to Thanksgiving. Actually, I think I remember them waiting until Thanksgiving.
People talk about a war on Christmas, but the impact of what’s in the pictures below seem to undermine the spirit that the holiday represents as much as anything I’ve seen represented as a war on Christmas. I looked for an appropriate quote and found:
“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’” – Hebrews 13:5
I hope people wait until at least December before they start throwing out Christmas pagan trees. Something tells me I’ll see some thrown out before December. Anyone want to bet me?
