New Yorkers: Join Workshop Graduate Emily Wang’s Own Workshop on Sustainable Building 9/14 or 9/15!
UPDATE: Emily posted about the workshop. Check out A Smashing Week Building with Cob in NYC. Lots of pictures, descriptions of cob building, and matching my appreciation for Drew Gardens. I attended, though don’t appear in the pictures since I rode my bike there and knew I would ride back, about 90 minutes each way. The post referred to me, but not by name. See if you catch the reference.
As one example of a graduate of the Sustainability Leadership workshop‘s implementing what she learned, Emily Wang is leading two workshops in natural building, here in New York City, in particular, in the beautiful Drew Gardens.
If you’re like me, you’ve heard about cob, adobe, and other natural building terms more and more. You probably haven’t done anything hands-on. This workshop is your chance to participate in the future.
Regular readers know Drew Gardens from my twice-annual workshops there in cooking fresh without packaging. I consider it one of the city’s most beautiful spaces.
Besides the garden, Drew Gardens has chickens. They needed a coop. Emily knows how to build naturally. They’re collaborating. We get to learn from her building.
See you there!
(Also register for the sustainability leadership workshop starting September 10 so you can bring your passions around sustainability to life too, and bring it to others, all living more joyfully sustainably. Contact me to join. But soon, because it begins September 10).
