Sustainable Living with Joshua Spodek

Drew Gardens is one of New York City’s great gems. I love it there. You will too, along with my famous no-packaging vegan solar-powered stew.

GREAT NEWS: Past workshops have led to Drew Gardens having their own solar panels, battery, and pressure cooker. Anyone can do what I’ve done and they’re taking steps themselves. You can too!

If you’re near New York City, come, meet your neighbors, and learn to do what everyone else says is impossible, but I see is the future. If you don’t mind my ranting a few sentences: I can’t tell you how many people tell me, out of ignorance, that people in the Bronx can’t do what I do, that it costs too much or takes too much time.

It saves time and money!

… but they don’t know because they talk more than they try. Well people at Drew Gardens act.

About the Event:

Joshua will be sharing stories and practical tips on how he lives sustainably—from food and energy to everyday habits—and how we can each make small changes that really add up.

He’ll also be doing a live food demo, showing that living sustainably can be tasty, fun, and creative.

To keep things in the spirit of the day, we ask everyone to bring their own bowl, flatware, and cup. Let’s walk the talk—sustainably!

Joshua teaches at NYU and hosts the This Sustainable Life podcast, where he talks with changemakers and everyday people about what it means to live with purpose and care for the planet.

This event is free and open to the community. Come learn, eat, connect, and get inspired with your neighbors!

🌿 Let’s make sustainability something we do — and enjoy — together.
