On my seventh appearance on After Dark with Rob and Andrew, I share how I’ve been diving into conservative history, thought, philosophy, and community. Both hosts have been on my podcast and I meet Rob periodically in person in Manhattan, where he lives too.
About the hosts:
Rob is the founder of The Multicultural Conservative Foundation, whose mission is to promote the political diversity of conservatism through social media. He has been interviewed by many independent news organizations regarding his views on black conservatism. In addition to writing and blogging, he is the author of a self-help book, โThat Job Just Isnโt Into You: Starting Over When Itโs Over.โ Andrew is a social media pundit, writer, and podcast host. He believes in traditional Conservative values, including the right to free speech, America First, limited government, and the Bible.
I’d love your thoughts, readers. Here’s the episode (plus the full site: How pollution destroys life, liberty, and property, and all my appearances on After Dark.):
The show notes:
Josh Spodek can be described by many titles. He is an astrophysicist, environmentalist, author, podcast host, and teacher.
He recently joined us to share with them his latest venture, which lately includes reading conservative literature. The author, who is writing a new book, does not back away from any subject, including conservatism.
After taking a class on conservatism, he shared with the hosts that he might be more of a conservative than โConservatives.โ On its face, that may seem like a ludicrous statement coming from a guy who seems to lean left politically.
However, Spodek explains his somewhat new-found conservatism in an in-depth and interesting conversation that ties life, liberty, and propertyโall mainstays of conservative ideologyโto pollution.
Additionally, the sixth team guest discusses how politics and the current wars in the Middle East have an impact on polluting the environment.
This conversation is one for the books. Who would have thought a person from Spodekโs background would share ideas that most liberals would say he couldnโt? It just goes to show that there are ideas we can all embrace and appreciate when we stop and listen to what the other person has to say.
