on July 9, 2020 in Choosing/Decision-Making, Podcast

Here are the notes I read this episode from: People keep acting like I’m different, that they have to balance things that I don’t when acting on the environment. So I’ll share a recent decision I made. People I tell have sounded intrigued and delighted to hear it so I’ll share with you. First sensed hairline retreating at 19. Not much for maybe a decade following, I don’t remember. Maybe[…] Keep reading →

My thoughts on Planet of the Humans, which I recommend

on April 27, 2020 in Nature, Podcast

I just finished watching Planet of the Humans, a documentary on people working on the environment, as well as many people claiming to, who aren’t, though many mean well. It begins: I last emptied my household garbage in September 2018. The time before that, June 2017. Yes, I took 16 months to fill one load of garbage, and a small load — one canvas tote bag full. I don’t need to[…] Keep reading →

236: My environmental role models

on October 22, 2019 in Podcast

Here is the text I read from for this post: My environmental role models Why my role models? Because people keep saying what I do is inaccessible. That it’s too much or extreme. That they need to balance. Well everyone believes they’re balanced. I have to balance too. My difference is that I keep moving toward my values. Instead of letting Americans, the most polluting people in history, be my[…] Keep reading →

Here is the text I read from for this post, but I would just listen to the recording. My environmental role models Why my role models? Because people keep saying what I do is inaccessible. That it’s too much or extreme. That they need to balance. Well everyone believes they’re balanced. I have to balance too. My difference is that I keep moving toward my values. Instead of letting Americans,[…] Keep reading →
